This minimal composition is from Harkrader's 'Word' series. It is mixed media with collage. The generous red background has room to rest, in as much one can rest being surrounding by the energy of red (power). Red lines intersect in the upper right quadrant providing the only static position. The simple waves of red and black horizontals provide the little motion that exists in this paper on foam core framed in black. The rotund shape in the lower right provides anchor which is kept in place by two white and black triangles above and below. The overall language conveyed to many viewing this work is Asian influence.

This fresh liquid field of blue watery splashes of cool color, surrounded by warm yellows, oranges and reds that reside in this composition of feminine movements comprised of sensual swirls, circles and arcs. What one would imagine if flowers live under a surface of H2O. Almost totally free of masculine hard edges, straight lines or right angles. This canvas found a home with a notable collector in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Harkrader works in an early style of traditional streetscapes as he sometimes does to document the visual experience of travel. This street scene of Oplole's 'Holy Mother of Agony'. The building to the right is the location of Galerie Pierwsze Pietro, location of the Opole Exposition.

Loving my bride, creating art, working for food, saving money, traveling, walking in nature, looking up at the sky, lying under the trees, laughing frequently, self education continues, questioning authority, being politically independent, respecting all peoples, being understanding, admitting past mistakes, forgiving myself and others, loving myself.
